Applications are invited from Indian nationals belonging to scheduled categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PwD (VH, OH, HH)) under special recruitment drive for the post of Assistant Professor in the Departments of Aerospace Engineering, Biological Sciences and Bioengineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Civil Engineering, referall.us Cognitive Science, Computer Science and Engineering, Design, Earth Sciences, Economic Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Humanities and Social Sciences, Management Sciences, Materials Science and Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and Statistics, Physics, Space, Planetary & Astronomical Sciences & Engineering (SPASE), Sustainable Energy Engineering, and Kotak School of Sustainability.

Several Departments likewise take part in the teaching and research activities of interdisciplinary post-graduate programs in the institute in Photonics Science and Engineering and Program. Appointments for these programs are made in the appropriate departments among those listed above.

Minimum Qualification (Assistant Professor): Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of grades, etc) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch, with a very great scholastic record in all preceding degrees. For a fresh Ph.D, the position will be on agreement basis for the very first 3 years, and can be regularized later on. For those with three or more years of post-PhD teaching/research/industrial experience, routine consultation can be made.

The Institute follows appointment in direct recruitment based on the provisions of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers' Cadre) Act, 2019. The present unique drive ad is to fill 56 backlog jobs in reserved categories till 31st December 2024.

Other information:

1. The pay brings all other allowances as acceptable to a Central Civil servant stationed at Kanpur.

2. The benefits, such as LTC, medical re-imbursement, transportation allowance, children education allowance, contribution towards New Pension System (NPS), re-imbursement of telephone expenses, book grants, HRA (if real estate not offered), research study initiation grant (up to Rs 25 lakhs with the provision to use for a supplemental grant) and monetary support towards national and international conferences will be permitted as per the Institute norms.

3. From its internal resources, the Institute offers an extra top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- per month for the first 3 years of service to the newly signed up with professor. After 3 years of service, the professor(s) are eligible for factor to consider for Young Faculty Fellowship (open for professors of age upto 40 years) supplying a top-up wage of Rs.15,000/- each month for three years, and/or Faculty Chair positions supplying a top-up salary of Rs 25,000/- each month for 3 years. Both the positions are used based upon performance.

4. Traveling allowance for joining: The Institute will compensate global travel costs for the freshly joined professor and reliant member of the family to the optimum limitation of Rs. 1,50,000. Domestic travel repayment will be based on government rules.

5. The Institute strives to supply housing to all professor. Your houses are equipped with free high-speed internet.

6. Mere eligibility will not entitle a candidate for being required interview.

7. Applicants who do not fulfil the minimum experience requirements may be used a visit on contract. The requirements of minimum certification and/or experience may be relaxed in the case of prospects with outstanding qualifications.

8. The Institute follows the reservation in direct recruitment based on the provisions of the Central Educational Institutes (Reservation in Teachers' Cadre) Act, 2019. The prospects are needed to send the Caste/ Category/ Disabilities Certificate issued by the Competent Authority in the format prescribed by the Government of India for this function. The Institute follows the Central list when it comes to SC/ST, OBC & PwD.

11. Applicants required and appearing in interview will be paid to and fro economy air fare/train fare by the quickest route (within India) and taxi fare from Lucknow airport to IITK and back. Local hospitality will be taken care of by the Institute.

12. Applicants who are utilized in Government or Semi-Government Organizations will be needed to produce a "NO OBJECTION CERTIFICATE" from their employer at the time of the interview.
